Intel HD 530 - green dots

I have a Lenovo IdeaCentre AIO 700 23.8inch All-in-One. The processor is Intel i5-6400. From the first time windows 10 loaded I noticed green dots on the screen at certain times. They look like dead pixels but they are not always present. They are most noticable on the log on screen, and on the start menu. When I disable the intel graphics display adapter, the Nvidia GT 930A takes over the display and there are no dots. I have updated the intel hd 530 driver to 20.19.15.4352 through windows auto udpate. But the problem persists. Any ideas?

Hi. I have the exactly same problem but with white dots...... and artifacts on some games. Even with the latest driver (Beta 15.40.23.4444)

Specs:

Motherboard Asus Z170-P

Intel I5-6400

No external GPU installed (HD530 only)

Hope to see some solution to this.

I tried to roll back to driver version 20.19.15.4377 and dots were minimized/gone.. still occur with some applications but wayyyyy less noticeable.

Just try that version. Hope it helps.

My issue has been resolved, I'm not 100% what the fix was as I was trying many different drivers/fixes but I did see on a Lenovo support forum that someone had uninstalled the camera drivers and their problem went away. So I uninstalled the 3 RealSense drivers found under 'Imaging Devices' in the Device Manager. They have reinstalled themselves (presumable on reboot) and the dots I was seeing have disappeared. The Intel HD 530 driver I currently have is 20.19.15.4352.

What i have tried so far:

-Install almost all graphics driver available versions, including some from Asus (uninstalled older version first of course). Some have displayed less dots and artifacts (but none 100% working).

-Tested the monitor display with other computer (Result: monitor display is not the problem).

-Set the DRAM speed from 2666Mhz to 2133Mhz (Result: No improvements)

-CPU Temperature from 26ºCelsius to 34ºCelcius (Result: No overheating problem)

-Tested IntelProcessor Diagnostic Tool 64bit (Result: PASSED)

-Dxdiag (Result: No problems)

One thing i noticed: When i uninstall all graphic card drivers, and Windows 10 install the generic graphics display driver no dots are displayed, so it must be a driver related thing.

White dots sometimes are not static at all. When i move the mouse they move and stop. I move it again and dots move too and stop. Sometimes they are moving constantly.And a can see flashing artifacts on Photoshop also (see screenshots).

I would like to ask some additional questions in order to better understand the scenario you are encountering with, and try to replicate it.

1. What is the PS version that you are using?

2. Is this happening while you perform a specific task? Meaning having an specific program opened or game.

3. Which are the games having the issue? could I have some screenshots?

4. Any input in regards of what triggers the issue would be great to have.

Adobe Photoshop CC 2014

No. I just turn on the computer and dots appear AFTER windows 10 welcome screen (Welcome screen is dot free) . Dots appear also on Intel Graphics Control Panel or anything that has graphics (like images) or dynamic web menus.

No dots with generic Microsoft graphic drivers!!

3. Which are the games having the issue? could I have some screenshots?

Is occurring in all games not a specific one (Call of duty Modern Warfare 3, Arcade tribe pool game, didn't try others). Artifacts similar to the screenshot i attached before (/servlet/JiveServlet/download/2084-102536-398425-152100/Flashing_artifacts_photoshop_CC.jpg Flashing_artifacts_photoshop_CC.jpg)

(That screenshot is an illustration only, i cannot just print-screen the actual artifact)

4. Any input in regards of what triggers the issue would be great to have.

-Photoshop: If i disable the graphics enhancements on Photoshop, after restart the software dots and flashing artifacts no longer appear. Some Photoshop plugins like Topaz Impression are still not working, causing artifacts on screen and Display Driver has stopped responding and has recovered...

-Windows: No idea. Dots just appear AFTER windows 10 welcome screen (Welcome screen is dot free). BUT No dots appear with generic Microsoft graphic drivers.

So I went ahead and tested this behavior with a Intel® NUC Kit NUC6i5SYH it has Intel® HD Graphics 540

I downloaded the driver installed from your motherboard's website 20.19.15.4377 and set the resolution to match yours 1920x1080

Opened some explorer windows and the issue was not present.

In this case, my recommendation would be to test the behavior of your system with the drivers below:
