Does Intel have a driver for Intel HD iGPU (4th Generation i3) for Windows 7 64bit? I have found only this:

https://software.intel.com/en-us/blogs/2016/03/14/new-intel-vulkan-beta-1540204404-graphics-driver-for-windows-78110-1540 Game Dev - -NEW- Intel® Vulkan BETA 15.40.20.4404 Graphics Driver for Windows® 7/8.1/10 [15.40] | Intel® Software

but it says that the driver is intended only for developers and IT professionals.

The reason I'm asking is Valve will be implementing support for Vulkan for Dota probably sometime next week. They even showed a demo of the game running on Vulkan on Intel HD, a couple of months ago, and there was a substantial increase in performance.

Hello, Grof:

Thank you for contacting the Intel Communities.

The release notes for the driver mentioned indicate that "this is supported on 6th Generation Intel Core and related processors"; however, with that information we cannot say that Haswell platform (4th Generation) is actually supported for Vulkan API. For that reason I woul like to further investigate this in order to provide you with accurate infromation of whether or not this is supported on the mentioned platform.

As soon as I finish up with gathering the information required, I will provide you with the results.

Release notes for this driver: https://downloadmirror.intel.com/25848/eng/ReleaseNotes_GFX_15%2040%204404.pdf https://downloadmirror.intel.com/25848/eng/ReleaseNotes_GFX_15%2040%204404.pdf

Beta driver available to download: https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/25848/Intel-Beta-Graphics-Driver-for-Windows-10-and-Windows-7-8-1-15-40-?product=88345 https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/25848/Intel-Beta-Graphics-Driver-for-Windows-10-and-Windows-7-8-1-15-40-?product=88345

Regards,

Esteban C

Hello, Grof:

After doing my investigation on this matter, I got the following information:

Vulkan is not supported on Haswell (related platform), and currently there are no plans to offer support for it. Intel is still evaluating platform limitations.

If any additional questions or inquiries are present, feel free to contact us back.

Regards,

Esteban C
