Hi, I just recently got a dell 5520 lapop with integrated Intel HD 630 graphic chipset.

No matter what I try, I can't get it to display 4k@60hz!

Here is the relevant informations:

- Windows 10, 64bits, version 1709 (latest build 16299.19)

- Intel core i7-7820, 32 GB ram

- Intel graphic HD 630, 21.20.16.4664 driver (2017-04-21)

- Monitor: Asus PB287Q (See: https://www.asus.com/us/Commercial-Monitors/PB287Q/ PB287Q | Monitors | ASUS USA )

Since the laptop only has a HDMI 1.4 port, I reverted back to using a USB-C to DisplayPort external adapter

When I add UHD@60 resolution to the Intel Graphic Control Panel, It says "bandwidth exceeded"

Any clue?

Actually the chinglish description of the adapter nowhere says 4K@60Hz

- 4K video resolution requires a 4K capable computer video source, DP cable, and output display.

According to https://ark.intel.com/products/97496/Intel-Core-i7-7820HQ-Processor-8M-Cache-up-to-3_90-GHz Intel® Core™ i7-7820HQ Processor (8M Cache, up to 3.90 GHz) Product Specifications you need a straight DP connection.

4K support indicates the product's support of 4K resolution, defined here as minimum 3840 x 2160.

You need to find the bottleneck.

In best case another video, USB-C or TBT 3 driver will help.

In worst case the monitor or the computer (particularly it's BIOS) is the culprit.
