I doubt this will work, but you can try it:

Now, do you know that XP has not been supported since 2014?

If gateway does not have a driver, there is a reason.

Time to abandon XP and move to current products and operating systems, rather than use something that is SEVENTEEN years old.

After installing the driver nothing has changed - vga compatible driver

It appears that gateway never supported XP on this laptop, only Windows 7.
