The Intel graphics control panel does not have a way to disable SSAO. You would need to check if there is an option at BIOS level to disable that feature.

The only way to enable/disable that option would be if your game or programs will provide with settings for that matter

Allan.

Hi everyone,

I am really enjoying my laptop (ASUS TP300LA, Intel i5 4200-U @ 2.7gHz w/ Intel HD 4400) so far, I have one question though.

I have noticed that when playing games, enabling SSAO (screen-space ambient occlusion) reduces my FPS hugely; this isn't a problem for me, I always disable it when possible. However, some games have it on by default with no option to disable it through the game settings or files (e.g. Sleeping Dogs: Definitive Edition).

Is there a way to disable SSAO via the HD Graphics Control Panel or in the BIOS, or something like that? Sleeping Dogs would play fine if I could turn off SSAO

Thanks,

Gifflar
