What do you mean with "Intel basic driver"?

The best recommendation is to use the driver provided by Samsung* since Intel provides generic drivers that may not work with some computer models due to customization from the manufacturer; therefore, we strongly recommend getting the drivers and software from the computer manufacturer as they have tested them with your system.

http://www.intel.com/support/graphics/sb/CS-022355.htm Graphics Drivers — Computer Manufacturer Graphics Driver Detected

I have searched a little more, I have found a similar issue for a similar Samsung* system. It seems the driver provided by Samsung* fixes the issue. I was not able to find the exact download page for your model as the last five characters (S05AE) are different, so I suggest asking Samsung about this.

http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows8_1-desktop/screen-brightness-cannot-adjust-after-upgrading-to/fd28947e-c9be-47ee-87a1-d03582a22367 http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows8_1-desktop/screen-brightness-cannot-adjust-after-upgrading-to/f…

http://www.intel.com/support/oems.htm Computer Manufacturer Support Web Sites
