Intel HD Graphics 4000 not stable

Hi,

Not sure if anyone else is having this issue. Could not find anything but just to update the driver but it still has not solve the issue.

Issue:

I have an HP ultrabook laptop i5 core. I am using and extra monitor to extend my laptop screen. Using HDMI to dvi connector. Installed it last wednesday 3/8/17. plug and play worked great for 3 days. On sunday I turn on my laptop and just a blank screen on the extra monitor. It took me forever to try an figure it out. My screen screen resolution reset to just the laptop. When I hit the option to extend the monitor still nothing, but it says displaying in VGA. The monitor is still not working. So I installed a VGA cable nothing. I almost did a system restore but I was hesitant I might lose all my files. So I updated the driver from the intel download section and installed it. It worked. But when I reboot the display adapter resets to just laptop again. When I extend the option nothing. When I hit the roll back driver option it works SMH. reboot and the display adapter resets. Wneh I update the driver it works. Oh man. I hate to do this everytime. its driving me crazy. Any help will be greatly appreciated. TY

If you followed the steps for a manual installation of the driver and you keep on having this issue, I would recommend contacting the system manufacturer (HP) as the drivers are customized by them to give the best possible experience on your product.

Such a noob. I installed the 32 bit instead of the 64 bit. smh. I didnt get the error this time. But it still reverts back when I reboot. Thanks for your help. I will head over to HP support for further help. If you figure something out reply back and I will check it. TY again

Hi So HP says there is no issue. Because its a laptop. Thats why it reverts back to single screen mode. Ty for your help.
