Trying to get access to the third screen this card is suppose to support. per this link https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/articles/000025673/graphics-drivers.html https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/articles/000025673/graphics-drivers.html. I have installed a Stardock DisplayPort https://www.startech.com/Cards-Adapters/Laptop-docking-stations/triple-video-laptop-docking-station~USB3DOCKH2DP Triple-Video Docking Station for Laptops - USB 3.0 | Laptop Docking Stations | StarTech.com This device connects through a USB 3.0 port, and have tried 2 such ports of this HP HP ENVY TS m7 Notebook PC laptop. This is a 64 bit windows 8.1 system running a i7-4700MQ CPU @ 2.40GHz. intel CPU, Graphic image confirmation the software is properly installed= https://www.screencast.com/t/UuOBuAdhdXA 2018-06-08_2018 https://www.screencast.com/t/nev1OXxm0 2018-06-08_2036

The graphics card driver version installed for the 4600 card is 10.18.14.4889 and shows to be the most current per Intel® Driver & Support Assistant and shows to be "This device is working properly". Graphic image confirmation https://www.screencast.com/t/jML9whwTehOs 2018-06-10_1339 . and confirmed by the attachment file.

I have been able to produce the 2nd or Projected screen through the HDMI port of this Stardock DisplayLink device, but have not been able produce a third screen through the same HDMI port. Windows Display Setting does not seem to be able see a 3rd screen.

Before trying this Stardock type external graphics card is supposed to be able to produce triple screen adapter card, I have earlier produced a 3rd screen via a SIIG (3J) external graphics adapter card. Yes the two graphics adapter systems are incompatible, and the 3J (MCT Trigger External Graphs code) code has been uninstalled.

If the proper graphic card settings are resolved do you see any reason why these extra 3 screen production cannot be possible?

Thanks

mailto:DonBMiller@gmail.com DonBMiller@gmail.com

Hi donaldmiller,

The HDMI output on the Startech dock only supports up to: 2048x1152 p60 or 2560x1440 p50 while one of the display ports support up to: 2560x1600 p60 and the second display port support up to: 3840x2160 p30

The 4600 graphics driver does not control the external (USB 3.0) videocard / dock. That runs on the Displaylink chipset. found here: http://www.displaylink.com/assets/product_briefs/NR-123313-PB-9-DL-5910_Product_Brief.pdf http://www.displaylink.com/assets/product_briefs/NR-123313-PB-9-DL-5910_Product_Brief.pdf

In short, the other displays should be connected to the display ports through an display port to HDMI adapter or cable if the displays only have a HDMI input.

Hope this helps.

Regards,

Leon Merts
