Description

I have a two monitor setup, using an RX 480 for my main monitor and the iGPU for my second (the reson is a whole other issue with AMD drivers). After I installed the intel graphics drivers my mouse started laging. First I installed the Beta 15.40.26.4474 drivers and the mouse lagged continuesly to the extent where I could barely do anything with it (had to use my keyboard to reboot). After that I completely removed AMD and Intel drivers and reinstalled, this time I installed the stable 15.40.25.4463 version of the drivers and the mouse lag only happend very sporedicaly (usualy when I try to move it just a little) and is hardly noticable.

EDIT: it can get pretty bad on the stable drivers aswell

Always (100%):

Often (51-99%): X (beta drivers)

Sporadic (20-50%):

Very Sporadic (<20%): X (stable drivers)

Hardware (HW)

- XFX 480 GTR 8GB

- Main monitor: Dell U2715H @ 2560x1440 DisplayPort

- Second Monitor: LG IPS235 @ 1920x1080 HDMI

- Asus Z170 Pro Gaming

- Intel Core i7 6700K

- EVGA SuperNova 650GS Modular (80+ gold) (running in ECO mode)

- 32GB DDR4 ram

Software (SW)

OS: Windows 10 Pro 64bit Anniversary Update (10.0.14393)

VBIOS (video BIOS) version. 1036.0

Graphics Driver version;

- Crimson Edition 16.8.2 Hotfix drivers

- Intel 15.40.25.4463, worse performance with Beta 15.40.26.4474 (might just be because of the clean driver install with the DDU tool)

Mouse cursor lags everywhere.

Configurations

Extended display.

Display resolution & refresh rate setting of each display:
<p style="margin-bottom: 0.0001pt; font-weight: inherit; font-styl...

Hi obi1,

Mouse lag issue is under investigation on Windows 10. We are trying to find the cause of it.

As a workaround verify if you are already using the latest BIOS version 1904 of the board the latest drivers for Chipset and Management Engine Interface.

https://www.asus.com/Motherboards/Z170-PRO-GAMING/HelpDesk_Download/ https://www.asus.com/Motherboards/Z170-PRO-GAMING/HelpDesk_Download/

According to Windows 10 support, they are recommending to disable Fast Startup.

http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_10-hardware/severe-mouse-lag-in-windows-10/143e65d7-6b26-48b1-9fe2-63a948be700d?auth=1 http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_10-hardware/severe-mouse-lag-in-windows-10/143e65d7-6b26-48b1-9fe2-63a948be700d?auth=1

If problem continues, please send me the results of Intel® System Support Utility:

https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/25293/Intel-System-Support-Utility?product=91600 https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/25293/Intel-System-Support-Utility?product=91600

How to attach a file:

-Click on reply

-Click Use advanced editor (upper right side)

-Click Attach (lower right hand)

Regards,

Mike C
