OpenGl Trouble in Cura

Hello, I'm struggling to get started the "cura" program for 3d prints.

My laptop is a lenovo y50-70 with an intel 4600 and a nvidia gtx 960M.

Computer came with win 8 64bit,but I have later installed Win 7 64bit

Displays error message "Could not probe with OpenGl this program requires opengl 2.0 or higher. Please check your videocard drivers . Have tried all sorts of drivers both new and old.

I look in opengl Extentions that I support Open gl 4.5 , but when iam look in fail logs the programs / windows seem to think I have opengl 1.2.

Having the same problem no matter what graphics card I decide to use with cura. Another foam thing is that I do not get any open information either on nvidia's or intel graphics control panels under the info tab.

Any ideas or tricks to make it work

before I give up ?

Intel HD 4600 graphics support OpenGL 4.3. Look under "core processors" here:

Intel HD 4600 graphics are also supported on Windows 7. Look here under "Core Processors":

And, the latest driver can be found here (from September 2018):

It is always recommend, especially since you have dual graphics, the the driver for your laptop graphics come from the laptop manufacturer (Lenovo). This is because they may have modified or customized drivers to work on their hardware.

However, that being said, you might want to try a manual installation, using the zip version: https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/articles/000005474/graphics-drivers.html Manually Install an Intel® Graphics Driver in Windows 7*

Again, I would try the drivers from the Lenovo site first.

Tried to installt the Lenovo drivers for win 7 64 , but them not seems to work anymore , dont know if windows have done some updates since lenovo released them 2014

get this when iam try install with the lenovo driver .exe file

Not possible to install it manual from the extracted driver DIR either.

But iam think u right that lenovo done something that u need lenovo drivers to get full graphic support from the 4600 card.

any workarounds for that? dont want to go for windows 10

No other problems or error messages with the card, and when i go for latest drivers and look in controlpanel open gl version dont show up , so strange

Are you completely up to date on Windows 7 service pack 1 and all updates?

If any support engineer slides in here , this is what 4600 gpu show in OpenGL Extention viewer

Sorry for taking serverstorage , will remove prints when i solved my problem

The last screenshot looks odd.

Driver version 376.54 is from the NVIDIA driver (quite out-dated by the way).

For some reason NVIDIA Optimus is screwed on your rig.

Open NVIDIA control panel -> 3D settings and force usage of the NVIDIA GPU globally and/or particularly for the aforementioned program.
