Microsoft Company recently released to the public its free quantum development kit to be fully integrated in their visual studio development tool. They claimed that the quantum algorithm and codes accelerates computing several thousand faster than the fastest pc in the world. Intel, can you make a graphic driver out of or using microsoft's quantum development kit in order to accelerate the video processing of your current iGPU's?

Link: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/quantum/development-kit Quantum Development Kit | Microsoft

I am not an Intel employee, but my guess would be that this will not be entertained by Intel. I believe their future for graphics lies elsewhere. Plus, I believe what "stability" they currently have in graphics would completely crumble.

Just an opinion.

Also, can you provide a link to Microsoft's claim? I am always skeptical of such claims.

Doc

After taking a closer look this SDK seems to be tailored for https://azure.microsoft.com/ Microsoft Azure Cloud Computing Platform & Services

If you are still interested in quantum computing study this abstract

https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/research/wp-content/uploads/2017/09/MTQC-1.pdf https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/research/wp-content/uploads/2017/09/MTQC-1.pdf

@ Stefan3D

What I mean to say is, if it is possible to upgrade some of intel's iGPU's dll file driver (just some not all) that are vital for the acceleration of iGPU's video processing. Perhaps just about 2 or 4 cubits of total dll file upgraded by quantum SDK as part of the whole driver might be possible so that the driver of iGPU when installed locally on the pc will not have to consume large amount of memory on the pc

It takes 16GB of ram to simulate 30 qubits so perhaps just 1 qubit data of dll file as part of the whole driver would consume just about 500 MB of memory in the pc.
