Yet another of the bugs introduced in the 1809 update?

Completely uninstall the HD Graphics driver package, reboot and then install it again. Use the latest available version from your board/system vendor or from Intel if your board/system vendor does not provide any (latest I could find is here: https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/28164/Intel-Graphics-Driver-for-Windows-15-33-?product=81499 Download Intel® Graphics Driver for Windows* [15.33]).

Hope this helps,

...S

The driver for this device has been blocked from starting because it is known to have problems with Windows. Contact the hardware vendor for a new driver. (Code 48).

After updating windows 10 (1803) to Windows 10 (1809)

Thanks so much! I reinstalled Windows 10 on my Dell Inspiron 660 and no longer had the ability to run VGA (so second monitor would no longer work). This fixed the problem! I created an account just to thank you and to hopefully help someone else who may run into this problem. 😊
