How to fix windows 8.1 32bit display adapter problem

Whenever i install the update for the display adapter which is intel hd graphics i get a double and blurry screen with a vertical lines but when i uninstall or disable the graphic driver it comes back to normal using windows basic display adapter

i think that using that latest driver is the problem because if im updating to it it creates that screen but using the windows basic display adapter, theres no problem i

I see from the acer support page for your laptop that only 64-bit W8.1 is supported.

Is there a reason you are running 32-bit?

If you can get to 64-bit, then try the intel driver on the acer page:

no i did not buy it new it was from my brother before broke because of overheating and given to me last 2016 i didnt open it up until now

Is there a Microsoft key on a sticker on the bottom of the laptop? Do not provide the key, or a photo - that would be bad. If there is a sticker, does it say W8.1 64-bit Pro on it?

Neither. There should be a MICROSOFT product KEY with other information.

It sounds to me like the repair should may have done you an injustice, by not installing what was was part of the original install.

If you do not see a Microsoft product key sticker, remove and look under the battery. If you do not find it there, that makes things more difficult.

Well, from your laptop support page, it appears you should be 64-bit.

When you say "like this after the repair", did the graphics work before the repair?

Have you tried contacting Acer for support?

Yes it worked great before the repair..my brother could play games which caused the overheating but 2 or 5 days after the repair The Screen Became Like this

I do not know that there is much I can do for you.

You may be experiencing hardware failure.

You may try force installing the 32-bit driver from here:

Or, perhaps one of the Intel support engineers can assist you.

Or, with a laptop this old, you may want to consider new(er) hardware.

thanks for the help man i really appreciate it and i have a newer laptop but it would be a waste to throw this besides i like repairing stuffs like this for the sake of learning 🙂
