Directv2pc compatibility with Mobile Intel 945GM Express Chipset Family

I am trying to use DirecTV's Directv2pc application to watch the programming recorded on my HD DVR on my laptop. I have an HP Pavilion dv2200 CTO, running Vista, with a Mobile Intel 945GM Express Chipset Family graphics card. Sorry for all the detail below, but I know little about this subject. My question is: is there anything I can do with drivers or other downloads to get my current computer to work with this application, or do I need to install new hardware? Thanks for any help you can offer.

The Directv2pc application automatically checks your system for compatibility before launching and tells you what components don't meet minimum requirements. The following items came up as not compatible:

1. GPU (Hardware acceleration): No hardware decoder detected.

2. Screen capture protection: NO

3. Graphics Card Driver: 7.14.10.1187

My CPU is also not ideal, but Directv support said it should work, it just might not be perfect. Why do I need hardware acceleration and what can I do to fix this?

DIRECTV2PC applies the hardware protection mechanism on protected content using hardware acceleration technology. DIRECTV2PC cannot play the video content on your output device if it cannot apply the hardware protection mechanism.

To solve this problem, try updating your graphics card driver. If your computer's graphics card driver does not currently support hardware acceleration, try modifying your driver settings.

2. Screen capture protection:

Why did I receive a message that screen capture protection is not enabled and what can I do to fix this?

Your computer's graphics card driver does not currently support screen capture protection. Try updating your graphics card driver or modifying your driver settings if you could not apply screen capture protection on the video.

3. Graphics card & driver:

What graphics card do I need to play DTCP-IP content on my computer?

It is recommended that you have one of the graphics cards with the following graphics processor unit (GPU) installed on your computer in order to play DTCP-IP content.

Which graphics card driver should I install on my computer for the best results when playing DTCP-IP content?

We recommend that you have graphics card drivers that support the HDCP (High-bandwidth Digital Content Protection) standard. Unfortunately it appears that DirecTV2PC does not support Intel graphics chipsets. That affects a very large portion of laptop users. And, I would assume that laptop users make up a large portion of the install base for this product. The whole point of this is to be able to watch your shows in a more portable way without having to be in front of the TV. DirecTV will have to either begin supporting Intel platforms or stop advertising this service as a useless benefit for customers.

I second that. The only laptop that I could get to work is a AMD processor. Intel is a NO-GO on a laptop unless you watch standard definition. And since Intel are the Laptop of choice now days. Directv needs to either stop advertising this worthless software or say that it is of PC's only. They even show a laptop in the picture. Why else would you have any reason to use this except on a laptop?
