Multiple Monitor Setup

I have an ASRock z370 Gaming-ITX/ac Motherboard.

Running Ubuntu 16.04

Unfortunately I am not 100% sure which Intel Graphics Chips it has.

I do not have a secondary Graphic card I want to use Intel HD.

It is meant to be 4K capable.

Motherboard has DP, HDMI, USB-C

It currently works on 4K from the Display Port.

But HDMI does not work, nor can I get Multiple monitor to work

I installed the Intel Graphics Update Tool for Linux*, and ran it, this is what enabled the 4K monitor to work at the correct resolution through the Display Port only.

However HDMI and Multiple Monitor do not work.

Can someone advise what steps need to be taken to setup multiple monitor ?

Nowadays, modern motherboards for "end-user desktops" usually don't include an integrated GPU (Graphics Processing Unit) since the GPU will be built-in with the processor (CPU).

To identify the model of your GPU (if your CPU comes with integrated graphics), visit our Product Specification Page (ARK) and manually search for your processor model, then look under "Processor Graphics" and you would find the model of your graphics controller (GPU).

Regarding the multi-monitor and graphics issues, since you are running Ubuntu*, it is worth mentioning that most Linux-based* distributions include Intel® Graphics Drivers. These drivers are provided and maintained by the Linux* distribution vendors. Please use their distribution for driver access and support. If you need further assistance, we recommend addressing this inquiry to UBUNTU® support* or your motherboard manufacturer (OEM) ASRock* Support*.

For Linux developers, Intel Graphics Drivers for Linux* are available in source form. The Intel Graphics for Linux site describes other ways you can obtain drivers.
