Hey!

I recently made a clean install of windows 10 from a usb. When I then go to the device manager, it says the Intel(R) Trusted Execution Engine Interface can not start. Have tried to update the driver but it says it is the lastest and to reinstall windows but nothing has helped. Is not so fed up with computers so help is appreciated.

I do not know if this is the right thread to post this qustion in. Thank you.

Model: Asus E403SA

Driver Version: 2.0.0.1067

Error Message: This device can not start. (Code 10), STATUS_DEVICE_POWER_FAILURE

Hello Uwgusi,

I understand that you are getting an issue with the Intel ® Trusted Execution Engine Interface.

Regarding this, I would like to mention that this driver is provided by the different manufacturers after it has been customized to work with your system. In this case, what I can recommend you to do is the following:

1 - Download the "Intel(R) Trusted Execution Engine Interface" driver located under "Others" in the link below:

https://www.asus.com/us/Laptops/E403SA/HelpDesk_Download/ https://www.asus.com/us/Laptops/E403SA/HelpDesk_Download/

*Please be aware that the content on that site is not controlled by Intel*. This information is offered for your convenience and should not be viewed as an endorsement by Intel* for the merchants or services offered there.*

2 - Disconnect the system from the internet.

3 - Go to device manager and uninstall the driver that is currently installed.

4 - Reboot the system and then reinstall the driver downloaded previously.

5 - Reboot the system again and then check if the error persists.

If this does not solve the problem then I would recommend you to get in contact with Asus* for more assistance with this driver.

I hope this helps.

Regards,

David V

I'm having a similar problem with my Acer Aspire E15. It originally came with Win 8.1 but I did a clean install of Windows 10 long ago. Since then, the Intel ® Trusted Execution Engine Interface driver doesn't load. (see screenshots attached). Do I need this driver?

When I try to Update Driver it says The Best Drivers For Your Device Are Already Installed.

Running the Intel Driver and Support Assistant, it says No supported driver or software updates are available for your system.

I cannot find a driver update on the Acer site, and it no longer even recognizes my serial number since I guess the machine is too old.

Should I uninstall the Intel device/driver or just leave it alone?

The only real problem I have with my laptop is it occasionally freezes up and the CPU fan runs loudly, which I think is a Windows Update problem since 100% of the time after I restart, if I check Windows Update there is a Windows Defender virus update.

Any advice would be welcomed. Thanks!

Try loading the Intel Trusted Execution Enginer Interface in compatibility mode.

FYI, for those having this issue with Aspire E15, I got a quick reply from someone on the Acer forum...

>>the last W10 BIOS update was version 1.10 from Oct. 20215 that you already have and if Intel W10 EEI won't install it is due to old BIOS. This model is no longer supported by Acer but you can still download original drivers from this reliable site: Acer Aspire E5-511 Notebooks & Tablet PCs > Downloads Drivers, Manual and BIOS
Window10 is no longer supported by Microsoft so you will not receive updates anymore, Best not to update that Intel driver, you have the W8.1 version now and there is no newer version on the HelpDriver site.<<

I downloaded the OLD driver from the site mentioned above and installed it. Now the ! warning is gone and Device Manager says the device is working. I guess sometimes older is better! 😉

I've been trying to solve this issue for years, I'm glad someone was finally able to help me.
