Here is the solution found on reddit and working (tested):

Block windows updates and automatic installation of pilotes.

Use DDU to uninstall Intel graphics driver (and clean associated registry entries, etc) then re-installed the Intel graphics driver (Dell link to Intel Pilote).

Go to the command center / System / Power and uncheck everything. I do not have either the tab for plugged/unplugged, just one tab.

Kind regards,

Screen Freeze help!

Hello! Quick question. I am using the XPS 15 9500 laptop model.

I've been getting a random screen freeze that goes away when I hit the sleep button and wake the screen back up. There is still sound when this happens. Is there any way to get rid of this?

I've read going into the Intel Graphics Command Center/System/Power menu will help, but I only see the on battery menu and it seems the Plugged In menu is missing?

I've included my scan result and a few screenshots of my settings.

Was the installed Intel HD Graphics driver downloaded from Dell or from Intel? If from Intel, I suggest that you revert to the version provided by Dell and see if the situation is alleviated.
