topic Can't save a texture in Graphics Frame Analyzer in Intel® Graphics Performance Analyzers (Intel® GPA)

I can save an object, but I can't save a texture in Graphics Frame Analyzer. It gives me the dialog window, lets me choose a file format, but when I press "Save" button there is no file in the destination folder. I tried it on a couple of PCs and on my notebook and it was all the same. An older version works fine.

PC spec: CPU 11980HK, 64Gb, GPU NVidia 3080, Win 10

Right. Thank you for letting us know. This is actually a known regression in Graphics Frame Analyzer.

With System Analyzer you can save data to a csv over several minutes, but it will only give you the following.

<COLGROUP><COL width="64" span="11" /></COLGROUP>

Timestamp (ns)

Frame Number

FPS

GPU Busy (%)

Aggregate CPU Load (P-Cores) (%)

Aggregate CPU Load (E-Cores) (%)

GPU Duration (us)

Frame Time (us)

Draw Calls

GPU Time Elapsed (us)

Target App CPU Load (%)

We are planning to fix the Texture csv issue for the next release.

I had the same problem - and couldn't find the installer for the previous version (from 2022) which happily saved textures out in .png or .dds format.

It would be great if Intel had a repository of older versions that people could choose to use if a bug like this has been introduced in a more recent release.

I managed to get back to the working version using a clue in an error message that windows through up while attempting to "repair" the installation. Long story short - the repair failed - but the error told me the name of the .msi file that it had cached internally. I copied that file from the bowels of windows installer cache - uninstalled my old but broken 2022 GPA version and then reinstalled it from the copied .msi

I could probably stick a copy on my onedrive if it would be useful to anyone (assuming Intel doesn't want to make the 2022 version available on their site). You'd just have to trust a random stranger on the internet... when has that ever ended badly? <LI-EMOJI id="lia_slightly-smiling-face" title=":slightly_smiling_face:"></LI-EMOJI>

FYI - we've fixed the issue. Release coming out soon.

As for older versions, we just don't have the bandwidth on our small team to manage CSV issues for past versions of GPA.

Correction: The above metrics were what I could capture on my platform, based on the metrics set I had chosen. You can switch metrics sets live to capture which ever data you need.
