topic Vulkan not appearing in supported APIs in Intel® Graphics Performance Analyzers (Intel® GPA)

So im running GPA on Ubuntu 22.04.3 with a i5-8265U CPU with UHD620 integrated gpu.

Running Graphics Monitor on a application that uses the OpenGL API works fine from what i can tell. The problem im having is that Vulkan doesnt appear in supported APIs. The only reason i can think of is because i dont have the vulkan-sdk package installed but rather libvulkan-dev.

Thanks for your post Theodor. I will check with the dev team on whether you need the full sdk.

Well i only had libvulkan-dev vulkan-tools and validation layers installed. I removed those and installed the vulkan-sdk package from the LunarG repository but it made no difference.

The message im getting when trying to start a vulkan application is:
"ETW session was disabled or modified. Trace file can be incomplete". Doesnt really seem to be more meaningful than the fact that Vulkan doesnt appear in the supported APIs.

Theodor,

The devs reminded me that we have not implemented Vulkan on Ubuntu -- sorry, I'm on vacation, my brain wasn't engaged. As you'd noted, Vulkan is not listed in the docs: See supported Graphics APIs,

Pamela

. . . and I would ask the devs to change the error message, except that we have deprecated support for Ubuntu and it will no longer be available after this month's release.
