Hello,

Since you can't get any application to run, can you right-click on the Intel GPA Monitor icon, select "About...", and copy that information here?

From what you're describing, it sounds like Intel GPA is having attaching to your process/game. So please check that you have Admin privileges for this account. Also, do you have any anti-virus or firewall software installed (as those two pieces of software may prevent Intel GPA from attaching to your process) -- if so, please check their log files to see if they blocked Intel GPA. In any case, we strongly recommend that you disable them while running Intel GPA, since so many of these can prevent Intel GPA from running properly.

Thanks!

Regards,

Neal
Hi,

Thanks for letting me know that you are running into the same issue. The "About..." info is also helpful -- I'll work with the development team to see if they've seen anything like this.

By the way, do you see anything in C:\Users\<MYACCT>\Documents\GPA_4.0\MonitorLog.txt that looks strange? This file should show some info on what the GPA Monitor is doing each time there's an attempt to connect. Also, please let me know if there's a crash file created (something like error.xml), or take a look in the C:\Users\<MYACCT>\Documents\GPA_4.0\Logs\ directory for your game/application.

Thanks!

Neal

</MYACCT></MYACCT>

Hello,

There is a known issue where Avast anti-virus software prevents Intel GPA from attaching to any process. Unfortunately, just "disabling" Avast does not keep it from blocking Intel GPA (the Avast process is still running in the background).

Therefore, please try removing Avast completely from the Control Panel, then reboot and trying to run Intel GPA again. So please let us know whether completely removing Avast and rebooting allows Intel GPA to run OK.

Also, as there are multiple versions and settings available for Avast, please let us know what version and options you are using (I saw one of you mentioned Avast 6.0.1; do you know what settings you are using as well?).

Thanks!

Regards,

Neal

Only full removing from system

solved this problem. I had Avast5.1.889.

Well It was good antivirus :) but...

So, Iappreciate your help!

Best Regards,

Alex.
