IPP shiped with Intel compiler or paralel composer might be an older version, standalone IPP versioning allows obtaining the recent IPP releases.

regards,
The new Intel Compiler package includes the IPP lib. Will intel continue to release IPP standalone or will intel merge it to the compiler package and stop releasing the IPP standalone version?

We plan to continue providing Intel IPP standalone as well as bundled with Intel Compiler Professional Edition and Intel Composer (part of Intel Parallel Studio). Additionally, we are doing a better job recently (and continuing) of synchronizing the Intel IPP, Intel Compiler Pro. Ed., and Intel Composer schedules.
