Because of the bugs of publicly available arm tool-chain, we built a new set of arm tool-chain to develop our system. Recently we need to utilize IPP to integrate 3rd-party applications into our product. We have purchased IPP in several days ago.<BR /><BR />When we tried to compile and link the 3rd party application with IPP, we found the error messages look like:<BR /><BR />/usr/local/lib/gcc-lib/arm-linux/3.3.2/../../../../arm-linux/bin/ld: ERROR: /opt/intel/ipp/5.0/ixp/lib/be/libippcore.a(pcpudefxsc.o) uses FPA instructions, whereas mp3decexample does not<BR />File in wrong format: failed to merge target specific data of file /opt/intel/ipp/5.0/ixp/lib/be/libippcore.a(pcpudefxsc.o)<BR /><BR />We guess that it is caused by the incompatibility of using VFP and FPA.
