topic IPL with celeron? in Intel® Integrated Performance Primitives

Hi.

I made a video processing program with IPL 2.5.

And it worked well at Pentium III computer which went out a few days ago.

Therefore I decided to buy new budget computer which has celeron processor. But my friend(who is good at IPL) suggested not to buy celeron because it does not support the IPL very well.

Is it true?

Hi,

yes, IPL did support Intel Celeron processors with bothPentiumIII and Pentium4 core. But because IPL is not supported anymore, I recommend you to use IPP. IPP supports all the new Intel processors on Windows and Linux.

Regards,
Vladimir
