topic IPP library on Triton-270 processor module? in Intel® Integrated Performance Primitives

Hi, we are going to be integratinga PXA270-based module into our product , the Triton-270 made by Strategic Test. It comes with Linux2.6.10 (gcc 3.4.1 glibc 2.3.2 and binutils 2.14 for PXA270).

My questions are:

1) Do I need anything to run the IPP library on this board beyond just buying the $200 package?

2) Does the IPP library work well using the gcc compiler, or should I get the Intel compiler?

3) If I should get the Intel compiler, does it fit in well with a standard Linux distribution, or does it only work with commercial Linux (i.e. Montavista).

Thanks!

Ben

Hi,

I'm not sure I can give you precise answers on all your questions, so I recommend you to contact with Intel Premier Support channel for more detailed info.

As far as I know, you can find list of supported hardware and OS in IPP distribution.

1) To be able to run application linked against IPP libraries you don't need any specific tool. Of course you should be able to download your executable module on your board.

2) Yes, you can use gcc compiler with IPP libraries

3) Yes, Intel compiler should be able to work with standard Linux distribution, not only Montavista.

Regards,
Vladimir
