Is Pentium-D Dual Core supported ?

Hi,

We have a customer looking to buy a number of Dual Core workstations, but they are concerned that the IPP documentaion does not specifically list the Pentium-D processor.

We would like to know if the Pentium-D will A) work and b) behave in a similar way to a Dual Xeon system.

Hi,

Yes, IPP will work on dual-core processors. In the next version of IPP it will be mentioned in IPP release notes.

You are correct, dual-core processors behave in a similar way as dual-processor systems.
