Dear Customer,

With the IPP 5.0 beta, we worked mostly in the feature expansion area such as add main profile support. As you may see, the new media processing sample from 5.0 beta is based on UMC interface (Unified Media Class). We improved performance by creating new more high levela API.

If you stilluse IPP H.264 functionsbased on IPP 4.1 sample and rebuild it with IPP 5.0 beta, then there is not much performance change.

Hope it explains.
Thanks,
Ying

Hi :
I am working on h264 decoder amd i have been using ipp version 4.1. I have recently come to know about ipp beta 5.0.
Apart from adding new functions for h264, have you also tried fine-tuning the performance of the existing h264 functions those featured in version 4.1?
Thanks
Arun
