topic Using IPP in VB .Net? in Intel® Integrated Performance Primitives

Hi, Guys,

I'm new to both IPP and VB .Net. But I already played quite a long time with VC++.

Is it possible to use IPP in VB .Net? How easy is it? Must I write some extra codes?

Thanks!

You got the right place to ask! :-)

There is a sample offered in Intel IPP and it shows how you can useIPP libraries in the development of applications in the Microsoft* Visual Basic* .NET environment. It demonstrates how to use theIPP image processing functions that perform filtrating as well as morphological and geometric operations. It uses the wrapper class for the image processing domain (ippi.vb). From this sample, you can get ideas how to use IPP in VB.Net.

To get this sample, you can go to http://www.intel.com/software/products/ipp/samples.htmand click "Windows* .NET" in the line of "Development Samples" and this sample group contains a VB.NET sample as I mentioned above. Please note, this sample is based on IPP 4.1* version.

The samples (including VB.NET sample) offered via IPP 5.0 can be found in "Beta Intel IPP Samples" in Intel Premier Support.

Hope it helps.
Thanks,
Ying S
Intel Corp.
