&lt;P&gt;Actually this API is for zlib compression, zlib is based on LZ77 algorithm. If you feel hard to understand those IPP APIs, you could use IPP provided patch to build IPP enabled zlib library. You could still use zlib program but optimized by IPP implementation. Thanks.&lt;/P&gt;
