&lt;P&gt;I will try, but it seems a good solution, nevertheless a fastest solution.&lt;/P&gt;

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Hello All,&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;I'm using FFT to filter images in frequency domain by eliminating some frequency peaks. Aprox our proces is:&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;OL&gt;
&lt;LI&gt;Convert Image 8u -&amp;gt; 32fc&lt;/LI&gt;
&lt;LI&gt;MakeFFT&lt;/LI&gt;
&lt;LI&gt;Get Mag/Pha from complex FFT image&lt;/LI&gt;
&lt;LI&gt;Aply filtering inMag &lt;/LI&gt;
&lt;LI&gt;Restore complex image from Mag/Pha &lt;/LI&gt;
&lt;LI&gt;ApplyiFFT.&lt;/LI&gt;
&lt;LI&gt;Get filtered image as magnitude of 32fc iFFT result&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;/OL&gt;
&lt;P&gt;Is there any function to convert a 8u image to a 32fc image?.We can not find any way to do this and we are doing pixel by pixel with and standard 'for' bucle.&lt;/P&gt;
