    <description>No, the laws of physics haven't been repealed. Signals inside CPUs don't travel as fast as they do in fiber optics. Even there, the speed of light inside an optical bundle is less than in free space. This is one of the reasons for shortening the paths signals must travel inside a CPU.&lt;BR /&gt;</description>
