Linux Magazine article on OpenMP

Hello everyone,

TheJanuary 2004issue of Linux Magazine contains the first in a series of articles on "Multi-Processing with OpenMP." The article is by Forrest Hoffman of Oak Ridge National Laboratory. He writes a regular column in Linux Magazine called Extreme Linuxthatcovers topics in high-performance computing. Previous Extreme Linuxarticles have been excellent so expect the OpenMP series to be of similar quality.

Linux Magazine is kind enough to make back issues available on-line. Here's a link to an article on "Common Concurrent Programming Errors" that I wrote for the March 2002 issue.

There is also a set of three articles here in IDS by Rich Gerber that describe many of the features of OpenMP and give tips on using OpenMP for Hyper-Threading Technology. The first is located at http://www.intel.com/cd/ids/developer/asmo-na/eng/technologies/threading/20365.htm
