Hi Gergana,

One other note, I don't think that the apt repositories have the developer kit with the statically linked libraries. Is that correct?

Thanks,

Bill

How can I download MPI Fortran Full Library (including statically linked)

I keep going in circles on the website trying to download the full MPI library including the statically linked libraries. When I go to https://software.intel.com/en-us/mpi-library/choose-download/linux, I choose "register and download". When I go to the next page (https://software.seek.intel.com/performance-libraries), it has a "welcome back <email address>", and allows me to click submit.

After clicking submit, it thinks for a second and then takes me to a page that says the following but does not have a download link, and I can't find a download link anywhere else on the site:

Thank you for activating your Intel® Performance Libraries product.

Access your support resources. Click here for technical support.

Intel takes your privacy seriously. Refer to Intel's Privacy Notice and Serial Number Validation Notice regarding the collection and handling of your personal information, the Intel product’s serial number and other information.

This was originally discussed in https://software.intel.com/en-us/comment/1949259, but it was accurately indicated that it belongs here.

Hey William,

That's so strange. I looked in our system and I see your account but you only have the "Intel® Parallel Studio XE Composer Edition for Fortran Linux*" product registered to your email address.

Can I ask you to try registering here again: https://software.seek.intel.com/performance-libraries but, this time, do so in an incognito window in your browser. That would mean having to enter your info again but, hopefully, we can eliminate any potential corruptions/cached info, etc.

The full Intel MPI Library is also available on the popular Linux repositories (yum & apt) - you're welcome to use that as well, as it does not require any registration.

~Gergana

Hi Gergana,

Thank you for the suggestion. When I went in an incognito window, I was able to download it.

I don't know what the issue was, but Steve Lionel (Ret.) (Blackbelt) in the original thread was having a similar issue, so can you have someone take a look at improving how the page works?

Thanks,

Bill

Hey Bill,

Ok, good to hear you were able to download. I'll let our web team know so they can look into the webpage issues. I know there's been issues in the past where it shows you as logged in but you're not really; it's mostly a browser caching problem.

The Intel MPI package in the apt repo should be the full development kit (including static libs), not just the runtimes. We used to have just the runtime package some time ago but we've since made the full SDK free and available for download. If you're seeing something different, just post on here.

~Gergana
