topic Best way to register product? in Intel® oneAPI Math Kernel Library

I've been using MKL 8.1.1 which I obtained as a trial version, and just purchased MKL from a retail vendor. I received a CD with v. 8.1 and a serial number. What's the best way to license my new product? Do I have to uninstall 8.1.1, install 8.1, then install 8.1.1 again, or is there some way to transfer the serial number I got with the CD to the existing installation?

A related question -- I've put copies of some of the libraries in other locations. Will I have to delete them and replace them with ones from the 8.1 CD or with ones from the main MKL directory after installing the new license, or will the existing copies continue to function after the trial license expires?

The license is checked only when you install, so the existing installation will continue to work. Your ability to download updates may expire, until you install and register the new version. You could make a separate temporary installation for that purpose.
