    <description>Presumably, the MKL xerbla is the same as the one from netlib, and you should be able to substitute your own modification, as you would with the public version.</description>

      <description>Thank you, that works. The version of XERBLA in "mkl_c.lib" calls other MKL functions, like mkl_set_serial and MKL_SET_PARALLEL, but that code seems to be no more than the wrapper that MKL puts around every BLAS function. I thought there might be more to it.&lt;BR /&gt;</description>
