does intel provide these anymore?

i know there are lapack manpages, but i would much prefer the real MKL versions if they exist.

i see that intel was producing the manpages for MKL as early as 2008, but they won't have scsrev or mkl_sparse_?_ev.

all i found were some rst.txt source files at this link https://d1hdbi2t0py8f.cloudfront.net/oneapi-docs/index.html

surely there are newer manpages?

hi gennady,

i know those pages exist and the html document is superb, but i was asking about "real" (offline) man pages that reside in /usr/{local/}share/man/man3

i know intel did make them for ifort in 2008, see this link as an example: https://github.com/grant-roy/nupack-mkl/blob/master/10.0.3.020/man/man3/Atan.3

do these exist for the MKL C/CPP library as well?

offline manpages would be really useful because i find it easier to type "man command" than sift through the menus on the html documentation.

are they only for commercial clients or something?

if this existed for ifort in 2008, isn't it possible there are older versions for icpc from 2008, possibly newer?

MKL never provided such man pages. In the case if you are interesting into intel compiler (icpx) - I would recommend you to as this question to the intel compiler forum: https://community.intel.com/t5/Intel-C-Compiler/bd-p/c-compiler

this is an interesting proposition; i'll give it a try.

i never thought about whether the man pages were the responsibility of the compiler team.

are you sure, though, that the ifort compiler team had the responsibility (in the past) to make MKL man pages?
