Installation: Registration failed for unknown reason

I'm posting this because I haven't actually found a solution in the archived forum posts.

The Intel® SDK for OpenCL™ Applications for Windows* is in my Products list and I have a serial number displayed for it. I have received an email after registration and proceeded to download the intel_sdk_for_opencl_applications_2020.1.396.

During installation I input my serial number and get an error that says:

"Registration failed for unknown reason. Please go to www.intel.com/software/products/support/ for your support options"

Nothing that I've tried has worked. Any help with this would be much appreciated. Thanks.

Can you send us installer logs, which are located in %TEMP%\intel directory?

I get the same error message when I try to install intel_sdk_for_opencl_applications_2020.2.487 ( install.exe from the zip file)
