I develop a plug-in for a 3D application called Houdini. My plug-in uses OpenCL heavily for GPU compute.

On Linux if I use the CPU as a device it is very unstable. Results are very non-deterministic crashing at random points. OpenCL does not return any error does, the application just crashes with a segfault. The segfaults appear to be coming from the kernels themselves as multiple threads segfault.

The same software works perfectly fine when using a GPU or CPU on Windows. Only the Linux OpenCL CPU runtime is failing.

Is there any guide to help debug what might be going wrong?
