How to make windows detect Intel Optane & Set it up

Hi Guys,

I hope someone can shed some light on how to set this up and this is not as simple and plug and go.

Before going ahead with inserting Optane into my motherboard I first did plenty of research first understanding if I had to flash my motherboard to a particular version to make Optane compatible with it. Updating Windows to the latest version and installing the Intel Rapid Storage Technology.

Once I was satisfied with everything I inserted Optane into my motherboard and lo and behold nothing worked. I spent literally 2 hours trying to get this window to somehow detect Optane in the system but no luck whats so ever.

Here are the specs of my machine:

Motherboard - Gigabyte B360HD3 (version - B360HD3 F5)

Storage (3) -

Corsair Force LS SSD
SanDisk SDSSDA 120G
WDC WD10EZEX-00BN5A0

Not sure if the rest is needed such as GPU etc.

If anyone can shed some light as to what I'm doing wrong would be appreciated. If you need further information please let me know.
