Secondary Drive in a Optane Config

I am buying a system that has the Optane memory on the boot drive , my inquiry is can i install my SSD i got for christmas as a secondary drive to function on it's own( have games and such on it) and not to managed by optane memory ?

Thanks for posting.

You can install one or more storage/secondary SSD on your Intel® Optane™ memory boosted system (as long as the motherboard supports them), without them interfering with the boot drive. As a matter of fact, Intel® Optane™ memory can only accelerate your boot drive.
