Optane dualboot and "boot" drive

Hello! I wonder what counts as a "boot" drive for optane? Is it possible to use ESP apart from Windows boot drive?

Let's say I have an SSD, a HDD and Optane memory. Is it possible to install Windows that way:

-Place ESP on an SSD (it will be shared with other OS)

-Place Windows on HDD

-Enable Optane by combining SSD with an Optane module?

Or optane looks for whole disks (ESP, Recovery, MSR, System)?

As part of the general requirements for Intel® Optane™ memory, systems with more than one storage drive, each containing an OS--are not supported and results can't be guaranteed. Intel Optane memory will look for whole/single drives.
