I'm having a problem with my Optane drive. One day, it just started not recognizing one part of it. It randomly switches between the 32GB part and the 512GB part. Does anyone have any ideas??? When it recognizes one of the parts, it can be used and shows no problems with its sectors. It's just as if they were two different drives and it's randomly choosing one to access.

If you're in Windows (as opposed to Linux) and you're seeing both parts of the drive, then support for RST (RAID & Optane) has been disabled in the BIOS.

If RST support was enabled in the BIOS, then you should only see the 512GB portion - especially if caching has been enabled and the 32GB Optane portion is thus in use.

Hope this helps,

...S
