Hi accordign to MSIs website: http://www.msi.com/index.php?func=prodcpu2&prod_no=1557&maincat_no=1

the cpu is compatible with the P31 Neo V2. I couldn't find the P31 Neo-F V2 there though. But i would imagine that it would be the same. If you really want to be sure just give msi tech support a call, or just try it.

Hope this helps

Hello, I have a processor and a motherboard, but I'm not sure about their compatibility! Could somebody tell me please, do they match - are they compatible?

Motherboard: MSI P31 NEO-F V2

CPU: Intel Pentium E2180 Allendale 2.0GHz 1MB L2 Cache LGA 775 65W Dual-Core Processor.

I searched Google and I found that this motherboard supports Intel Core 2 Quad/Core 2 Duo based processors in LGA775 package, but it is not mentioning Dual-Core Processors; Does that mean it doesn't support this CPU?

Thank you for your input,
