Reflashed the BIOS and loaded optimized defaults.

Still have only 2 cores. Nothing's been changed or moved as far as the processor.

The machine was built last year and no processer problems till now if that helps.

I recently checked my processer and only 2 cores show up.

I used CPU-Z, RealTemp and Belarc advisor.

I tested my windows score and it went down quite a bit.

Any ideas what's wrong?

Here's what Belark advisor says:

Processer

2.93 gigahertz Intel Core i7 K 875

32 kilobyte primary memory cache

8192 kilobyte secondary memory cache

64-bit ready

Multi-core (2 total) <---------------
Hyper-threaded (4 total) <-------------

Here's my system specs:

CPU: I7-875K

CPU COOLER: Cooler Master Hyper 212+

MB: GIGABYTE GA-P55-USB3 (rev. 2) BIOS: F9

RAM: 4GB G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 1600

Speed: DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800)

Cas Latency: 7

Timing: 7-8-7-24-2N

Voltage: 1.65V (set to 1.64V)
GPU: XFX HD-577X-ZNFC 5770 1GB

PSU: CORSAIR 650TX

OS: Windows 7 home premium 64bit OEM SP1

HD: SAMSUNG Spinpoint F3 HD103SJ 1TB

OPTICAL: ASUS DRW-24B1ST/BLK/B/AS

CASE: COOLER MASTER RC-692-KKN2 CM690 II Advanced

MOUSE: Microsoft IntelliMouse Optical 1.1A

KEYBOARD: Microsoft Comfort Curve Keyboard 2000

MONITOR: ASUS VH222H Black 21.5 (set to 1920X1080 60MHZ)

Resolved the problem.

Reflashed the BIOS and used optimized defaults.

Then went into msconfig and used normal startup, I had been trying to eliminate too many programs from starting at boot, I guess one of them has something to do with the processors. At the boot tab I changed the number of processers to 4 from one to help boot times and a few other things.
