Ok, so what you need to do is find out from somwhere (motherboard manufacturer, google etc) the compatible CPUs with the motehrboard you have, thait will tell you what CPU you can put in or not. I had a look on the Tyanwebiste but i couldnt find anything.

Hi. I am a newbie to this site. My name is Gary, How is everyone?

I have some questions on changing processors on a computer I am working on and it was suggested to me to become a member of this forum.

I have a computer that came with a Pentium II 300MHZ 512MB Slot 1 processor and am curious if I can go to the P2 450MHZ or possibly to a slot 1 P3. I am wanting the increase so my grandchildren can play some of the games they have. Can anyone help me out?

Actually I have 2. One is a Tyan S1862. This motherboard has 2 P2 SL2HA processors. The other is at my daughters house and not sure what it is. I have to check.
