I had already looked there and it is beyond my understanding . All I need, at this time is a hierarchy of performance of slower to faster and where PENTIUM fits in. ( and perhaps a recommendation on what to get)

thank you

I am NOT Technical! I am about to buy a new computer for general home use - nothing fancy just reasonably fast. Some information I've seen says to get a Pentium dual core. Where in the hirearchy of performance does the i3 and other series fit. I would appreciate a listing by performance of the general types offered. Please keep it simple.

Thank you

I am new to this board and don't know if you automatically email any responses but if not, my email is mailto:braxx20@yahoo.com braxx20@yahoo.com

The following web site will help you determining which processor family is the one better meeting up your needs. Please find this web site, here: http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/processor-comparison/how-to-choose-the-right-processor.html http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/processor-comparison/how-to-choose-the-right-processor.html

The system performance is dependent on the entire system configuration, at a hardware and software level; however, the previous web site takes into consideration the usage you will be giving to the system.

Intel(R) Core(tm) i3 and i5 processors are addressed to a more business related environment while the Intel(R) Core(tm) i7 processors are more gaming, intensive video usage related.

If needing information on Intel(R) processors, you can go to: http://ark.intel.com/ http://ark.intel.com/

Any questions, please let us know.
