      <description>&lt;P&gt;Intel Core i7 processors are based on a different socket type than the Intel® Core™ 2 Quad processors, so the i7 will not fit on a socket for a Q8400.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;In other words, you need a new motherboard in order to install an Intel Core i7 processor.&lt;/P&gt;</description>
