Hi,

Please refer to this post: https://forums.plex.tv/index.php/topic/122730-system-gets-killed-when-start-to-play-video/ https://forums.plex.tv/index.php/topic/122730-system-gets-killed-when-start-to-play-video/

Details are provided there. And as you can see, early on when I was running Serviio I had the same problem(except for Serviio holded up much longer before crash).

I will contact my retailer to see if I can return the CPU but I am worried if the new CPU would have the same problem(as in, the problem was actually not caused by the CPU but motherboard or bugged code).

Considering that both the Intel® Processor Diagnostic Tool and Prime95* passed, I believe the best option at this moment would be to swap the processors.

You may also want to test the system out of the case with minimum components or swap the power supply.

Hi,

The latest follow up has been posted to that post. Basically I got a new i5 of the same model and now it works.

The microcode of the old i5 was 1a, not sure about the new one though.

Just checked the photos I took when it crashed and showed MCE message, some of them reported microcode 19.
