It's kinda problematic now because I already sent my cpu to the shop I bought from for testing

But here my specs as I remember them:

Cpu:i5 6600k

Motherboard:Asus z170p-d3

Gpu:MSI R9 390

Ram:16gb g.skill ddr3 1333mhz

Psu:seasonic g-650w gold

Can a cpu cause screen artifacting, flickering?I already determined that's its not my gpu

Here is a picture of my issue:

http://imgur.com/VCIoG3B http://imgur.com/VCIoG3B

Hello Legendx:

Thank you for the specs provided, they are compatible and should't be a problem.

Now, regarding the issue you are having with the graphics, when a GPU is added to the system, the GPU would be in charge of the graphics, while gaming and while using the computer for regular tasks, which means that most likely it would not affect the image.

Have you tried using a different monitor or display?

Are all the graphics drivers up to date?

Are the temps in the GPU ok?

Lets see what is the resolution provided by the computer shop, since the troubleshooting would have to be done with the system complete.

Regards,

Esteban C

I have tried taking out my gpu out of the system and made the integrated gpu as my primary display in bios but the artifacts are still there in Windows UI and in all games so not a gpu problem.

I also tried to use a different monitor and different dvi-d cable and it didn't solved the problem.

I am using the latest drivers(crimson 15.12).

My temps are while gaming around 70°c on gpu and 60° on my cpu.

I have also run memtest64 for two hours and my memory passed the tests with no errors detected.

Well apparently my cpu had one bad/damaged core according to the shop and the cpu has been replaced with a new one,so I think it was the cause for the flickering.
