that two years i own a mainboard with 2 xeons 4 cores so 16 cpu , except some software like 7zip or mksquashfs or rage from idsoftware . most developpers are making softwares able to handle two cpu and 32 bit .

so i think it is better to break egg-heads at intel or amd ;'] : instead of creating 64 bit cpu with lots of cores at same speed , it should be better to make a cpu with 2 or 4 high-speed 32 bit one : i mean that runs at 3 or 3.6 Ghz and are used by games engine

while the rest of the cores are at a lower frequency .

in a case of a 8 cores ht , then 2 cpu at 3 , 3.6 plus 2 with ht may 32 bit only while there are 6 / 12 ht at 2.2 Ghz 64bit , another cpu will be same but 6 / 12ht at 2.4 Ghz ...
