i5 Help!

I recently bought an Acer Aspire v3-571g i5-3210m laptop,what i would like to know is how my processor has gone from being a i5 3210m to a i5 3230m,any ideas?

Hello Limbo79,

I am afraid to say that the only way to make this happen is by changing the hardware. There is no software (drivers, applications) that can make the hardware change.

However, I recommend you checking device manager or the Intel® Graphics and Media Control panel to verify the information in your system.

You also can run our Intel® Processor Diagnostics Tool. This will test every single internal component from the processor and will generate a report with very valuable information about the processor. You can get it by accessing at the following link:

Hello Kevin,thanks for your help,i ran the the test and it told me i had a i5-3230m so i still don't know what has happend!
